SCAD Senior Capstone project emphasizes on the students understanding the interior design development process. Each student is to select a project type, existing building shell, location and client/end user, solving not only a design issue but also a social issue. For my project, I chose to create a U.S. national park hotel to reach minorities, in race and age, and encourage the unrepresented faces in the U.S. to be apart of an American narrative while giving back and learning more about our parks.

The prototype, located in Joshua Tree, California, focuses on the experience of the end user "rediscovering again" the wonders of our National Parks. Take a journey to discover something new around every corner. Inspired from the delicately, rigged rocks and plant life, the indescribably breath-taking desert landscape will immerse you in a relaxing and blissful oasis. Let your curiosity and wonder arouse your way through a transcendent, rugged getaway located only in Joshua Tree.
